ROOKIE BLUE PLAYS FOR KEEPS

When the writers decided that Detective Jerry
was going to die, they could've chosen any
number of ways.  They chose a quiet way, a
timeless way.  Noam Jenkins' final scenes on
ROOKIE BLUE [including his last, heroic act]
would've played well on the stage.  Scenes
  worthy of a Shakespeare play.

  Well played, sir.  Well played.

SHOOTING & PROCEDURES

Not here.  My favourite line from last week's
episode, which was a repeat.  I think that the
2nd part of the most recent storyline is being
kept under wraps, until after the Olympics.

Anyway.  Not here.  Spoken by Sam, after SIU
asks Dov to surrender his gun after Dov shoots
a man.  There's a crowd watching, and veteran
cop Sam knows that the optics would not look
good.  Sam has seen it all before.

SIU seems to be Internal Affairs.  But to the
street cops, SIU might stand for screw it up!
The acronym SIU is never really explained.
I assume it's Special Investigations Unit, or
something like that.  They go into action when
a crime may have been committed by a cop.
For some reason, SIU does not seem to be
highly regarded by police officers like Sam.
