TO THINK OR NOT TO THINK

Last week's episode, involving the psychic,
shows how complex the Sam character is.
  No, really.

It's true that he seemed to have nothing but
disdain for the gentleman's abilities.  But this
is the same Sam who was always advising his
rookie Andy to listen to that little voice inside
of you.  The argument being that police work
can be so quick sometimes, that to think for a
second too long can shorten your career...

OOPS!

For the 2nd time since the new season of the
show, I forgot to watch ROOKIE BLUE.  Nor-
mally, I catch it on ABC at 11 on Thursday
night.  An hour or so after I return from the
university library.  Sigmund Freud might have
argued that there really is no such thing as
  forgetting.

Of course, in his time, there was no such thing
  as ROOKIE BLUE...

Watched July 12 episode, where an officer almost kills a dealer who was messing with the officer's daughter.  Sam, at one point, says that
right or wrong, officers back each other up.  This kind of loyalty is, at once, admirable and alarming.  This kind of code is one step away from looking the other way, when good cops go bad.  One word...SERPICO.
