EASIER SAID THEN SAID

It was past midnight by the time I returned from the
library.  [Thursday]  So, I've started to view the
finale of the 3rd season, using the Global television
website.  And I've read a little bit.  I know that Andy
made a big decision;  and that Sam's inability to be
verbal enough [regarding his feelings for Andy] has
finally...well, you drive far enough with the parking
brake on, and you eventually reach a point where
the car simply cannot go any further.

More later...I've got some watching to do!!!  :)))

Okay.  I'm back [Sept. 13].  I must admit that I found
the moment when Sam tells Andy that he loves her,
a bit awkward.  Maybe this is what the writers had in
mind, I don't know.  After all, when it comes to saying,
"I love you.", Sam Swarek is, basically, a rookie.  So, I
guess that it's no surprise that his timing might be a
little off.  Which it was.  She was holding a grenade,
  in one hand.

I would've liked to see Sam try to calm Andy down, by
  saying the words.

                                  ANDY
               My God...Ga...vomit...I'm going
               to...Sam...going t'vomit...

                                  SAM
                 (with test pilot cool)
Andy.  Andy.  Look at me.  Look
               at me...I love you.

                                  ANDY
               Wha...what?

                                   SAM
                 (slight grin)
               You heard me.

But, despite my initial reservations, the episode's last
shot - in darkness, of a car taking Andy & Nick on a
secret, high risk deep cover assignment-really won me
over, again.  The only lights in this scene are from this
car, and the other vehicles on the highway.  Their car
slowly merges with the others, and blends in...

Such a simple shot.  We know that Sam waits for Andy,
at the bar.  But we know what he does not.

  2. Why THANK YOU, Giulia!

2nd...no, I believe I was parked beside the NEPTUNE THEATRE, which is Argyle St. Looking into the mirror, the street running from right to left is SACKVILLE ST.

I've seen officers on some of the corners there. Maybe I'll ask if I can get a pic.

"It's for my blog...on ROOKIE BLUE...do you watch it?"

"You have the right to remain silent."

    "What?"

    "Up against the wall."

    "Officers...there's been some misunderstanding!"

and if you say..."Ociffers....pleashh...." then you will be locked up FOR SURE!!!

um...maybe you should forget that photo op.

  5. Well, I think most of the time, the "I love you" declaration comes out awkwardly. ( It is never really like in the movies.)

But I think that makes them all the more sincere--because they are genuine, deep emotions. Nothing is planned; it just comes out!

I am so happy that you like this show. Every episode we've watched, we've enjoyed. Thanks for getting us hooked on Rookie too. :)

    Again--nice photos.

I'm glad you guys are watching. Why not visit the ABC Network
ROOKIE BLUE site, and participate! But, don't mention my blog.
I tried that once; they tactfully left my plug there, for about
a week. When I located the page later [from their Archived
stuff], the comment was no longer there!

    P.S.

If ROOKIE BLUE offered you & Mike the chance to appear in an
episode, would you take it? You'd look good in uniform, I'll
bet. [Oops! Did I say that out loud?]

  7. Ha ha...thanks, Dan. No. I don't think I could act very well. And besides, I am terrified of guns.

Uniforms, eh? All kinds? Postal carrier? Pilot? McDonald's?

    How about prisoner?

    :) (I know...smarty pants.)

  8. Definitely POLICE uniform. With revolver, baton and cuffs.
If I was a suspect, and you were chasing me - I'd RUN, but not
    very fast. :)
